Frank Dunlap, DDS
Dr. Frank Dunlap brings a passion for people, their stories, and their teeth to his experience as a dentist in Houston for over four decades. His approach to dentistry is shaped by a commitment to integrity and excellence, with relationships of trust and transparency. Dr. Dunlap's grandfather, who was a physician serving in public health and his childhood dentist, played formative roles in his decision to pursue a dental career.
Dr. Dunlap has been honored to provide multi-generational care for may patients and their families. Trust from his patients, dental colleagues, and staff is a privilege not taken lightly. He is humbled to recall the many gifted professors and mentors whose contributions continue to shape his philosophy of work, his passion for people, and his approach in determining the necessary dental treatment and options.
Dr. Dunlap is a 1980 graduate of the Dental School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He previously graduated from Midwestern State University having received a Welch Foundation Scholarship for chemical research. Postgraduate studies have occurred in association with the Dawson Academy, Pankey Institute, and the Spear Academy. Participation in consultation and study clubs also take place on a monthly basis with colleagues in Houston, a city home to some of the finest dental specialist in the country.
When he's not in the office, Dr. Dunlap enjoys cooking fresh meals, playing tennis, and sharing conversation over coffee with family and friends. Dr. Dunlap and his wife, Alice Ann, enjoy their three adult children and three grandsons, by whom Dr. Dunlap is affectionately known as, "Papa Tata."
